Are you a mother who’s always dreamed of performing on the big stage? Have you ever wanted to learn how to write your own music, or learn how to play an instrument? Ever wonder what it would be like to be in a band?

Any woman, trans, gender expansive, or member of the LGBTQ community can sign-up to be a Caregivers Rock participant at Girls Rock! Rochester. No musical experience necessary!

We welcome and greatly value individuals of any gender identity to participate in more indirect ways. (band promoter, door person, event volunteer, sponsor liaison, stage team)

The Kick-Off

On Wednesday, March 6th from 5‑7pm at Village Gate, Suite D218, all participants will be sorted into bands and get to know each other! We’ll also set up each band with an online donation page and guidelines for collaboration, managing gear, and making music together.

This gathering is mandatory in order to participate!

The Program

“Caregivers Rock Camp” offers a 10-week program for caregivers to connect, grow, and rock. Participants join bands, receive instrument instruction, and attend workshops, leading to a live performance before Mother's Day.

This empowering experience emphasizes self-care and reminds caregivers that their dreams matter. This adventure will culminate in our GR!R Caregivers Rock event at Waterstreet Music Hall on Saturday, May 11th From 1PM (Doors), 1:30–3:30PM (Show)

The Show

Join us for an unforgettable showcase, on May 11th, where the band with the most donations will be recognized and awarded an awesome prize for their hard work! There are often raffles, glamourous emcee’s and a transformational evening for all! It’s going to be a blast you won’t want to miss!
