The camp "tuition" varies year to year depending on the results of our fundraising events. As an organization that is 100% donation-funded, we attempt to keep our recommended fee low and offer a sliding scale to our applicants. The 2024 recommended camp fee is $175 per attendee (250 for extended hours). With our sliding scale tuition, each family is able to determine how much they are able to contribute to our program. We do not want tuition costs to deter anyone from applying to camp.
GR!R will be following the CDC guidelines for Summer Camps: Campers, Staff and Volunteers will be required to wear face masks at all times, except for outdoor water and snack breaks. We will maintain 6 feet social distancing in the camp space, and campers will not share supplies with other campers. We will also be practicing hand hygiene regularly and conduct health screenings before the start of each session. More details around our COVID-19 procedures can be found in our Camper Application.
To register for camp, you’ll fill out an online application. Applications are open from February 1st through April 31st.
Campers are selected by a committee seeking to establish a balanced and diverse camp population in relation to the instrument, age, previous musical experience, economic status, geography, and community. Campers are NOT selected on a first-come, first-serve basis, and applying for camp does not guarantee admission. Your family's ability to pay will not affect your child's chance of admission to camp. GR!R strives to make camp accessible and available to all but due to space and resource limitations, we cannot accept all applicants. Traditionally, some applicants may be placed on a waitlist and notified of acceptance when space becomes available.
GR!R's goal is to have the registration process as inclusive and as fair as possible. Many factors are considered in this process. Final notifications about acceptance will be given by June 5th.
Thank you for your interest in GR!R's camp programs! Registration for GR!R programs (Girls Rock Camp and Pride Rock Camp) typically opens in February. If you have any questions about camper registration, please do not hesitate to contact our Program Director at info@girlsrockrochester.org.

Delivering the Camp experience requires Camp to incur numerous irreversible spending decisions many months before the summer begins. The Camp makes these irreversible spending decisions based on the number of Campers enrolled and in reliance on each Camper maintaining (i.e., not canceling) their enrollment and not leaving Camp early.
Moreover, holding a space for a Camper may result in turning away other Campers throughout the year. For these reasons, Parents acknowledge and agree to the following refund policy:
